Seven months update
DEV is seven months old now and so many new things!
I can't believe Dev is able to do so many new things these last few weeks! He's been rolling over a lot when we put him on the bed. He loves to sleep on his tummy. For a little over two weeks he has been able to hold on to his toys (watch out, he throws them too!) which makes playing with his teether toys much easier. He loves his Sophie the giraffe! He is laughing all the time and when I say laughing, I mean a real good, belly laugh! It is the best noise ever! He is constantly smiling so it doesn't surprise me that he has an abundance of laughter. He is extremely talkative and making all sorts of noises, and of course, as his mom I swear I've heard "amma" , I know it's just coincidence but it's still pretty cool! It seems like he's really feeling out textures and pays attention to different noises.
He got his first pair of teeth and am happy with his eating. He has started snacking on puffs and its absolutely cute to watch him eat. He knows the whole eating thing now and am proud of him.
His sleep schedule has been good so far. He's sleeping for seven hours straight - I'm not complaining! And I dont have to hold him or rock him to sleep anymore which is a very good thing. He sits up and plays for a long time during the day. He walks on his ferrari walker and chases the colorful balls and doesnt get bored of it. Last night he stood for the first time. We were just amazed seeing him stand like that until we counted 20! There is so much of me that wants him to stay an itty bitty baby forever but it is so magical watching learn and explore new things! Being a mommy is beyond what I could have ever imagined.

Pumpkin seed earrings
Last week, When my nieces visited us, I wanted to do something fun with them. And, we made these pretty earrings with the pumpkin seeds. Here is what you'll need,
Dried pumpkin seeds
earring backs
4 mm jump rings
Rhinestones
needle
2 pairs of pliers
hot glue gun
- Choose a pair of perfectly shaped seeds and using the needle, make a hole at the top of the seed.
- Using the pliers, widen the jump rings and insert them into the hole on the seed.
- Insert another jump ring to the earring back.
- Insert this jump ring into the one with the seed and close the ring back using the pliers.
- Stick the rhinestone in the center of the seed using a hot glue gun.
And there it is, easy breezy earrings and a fun thing to do with kids! I bought all my supplies from Michaels and enjoy doing different crafts once in a while. Hope it was an useful DIY. Thanks for reading :)

The Valentine wreath
February is a very special month for us and this one is my first Valentine's day project. I saw this over at Micheal's and wanted to make one by myself for our home. So, I made a trip to the Dollar store and bought 10 bunches of red roses and a wreath base. Here is how I made it.
10 bunches of red roses
1 wreath base
Wire cutters
Hot glue gun
Ribbon for hanging
Each bunch has 6 roses in them. Using the wire cutter, cut off each rose from the bunch with 2 inches of stem and set aside.
Take the wreath base and insert the stems into the gaps of the wreath base. Add some glue to the base of the flowers and work your way around the wreath placing the roses uniformly around the wreath.
Turn the wreath over and fold in the stems that are sticking out or chop them off using the wire cutter.
Using a wide ribbon, hang the wreath on the door.
Pretty easy right? This is a perfect thing to do when its cold outside and you're watching your favorite tv show or movie! Love the pop of red on our door…feels like Love is all around :)
